Kovalam Beach Tours

At a distance of just 16 kms from the capital city, Thiruvananthapuram, the Kovalam Beach is one of the best Beaches in Kerala. Beach of International repute, it lies on the Malabar Coast along the 600-kilometer length of Kerala Shoreline. Popular as a small fishing village Kovalam, the place promises the holiday of a lifetime, away from the busy life enveloping us. The beach has been a favorite haunt for tourists, especially Europeans since the 1930's, and continues till date.

Kovalam consists of three adjacent crescent beaches, separated by rocky promontories. The one at southern extreme and most popular one out of three is the Light House beach. Lined with cafes and restaurants offering delectable delicacies in which seafood gains preference, alluring large number of tourists throughout the year. Further south beyond the Light House, is the small village of Vizhinjam,a major fishing centre having a beach of its own. The northernmost beach is theSamudra, dotted with traditional fishing boats and is least affected by the changing times. In between lies the

Hawah or the Eve's beach.

The beach besides being clean, well kept and peaceful also enjoys the advantage of being near the capital city. Thus all those visiting the beach, can go for sight seeing to the exotic city of Thiruvananthapuram also. There are numerous shops along the Beach offering a Plethora of items to shop for and take as souvenirs back home.
