Marari derives its names from Mararikulam, a small village in Kerala inhabited by the local fisherman's there. Life in this place hasn't changed much in the last many decades. Men here continue to go for fishing in the morning while the Ladies perform the necessary household cores. This small village is a host to numerous soft sand beaches that promises one a holiday that will relieve him from all worries and tensions amidst this beautiful place with vast expanse of land, water and swaying palm trees.

About the Marari Beach Resort

Sprawled over 30 acres of beautifully laid gardens with the tree rich orchards containing palm and other fruit trees. The most alluring aspect of this relatively new resort built in traditional fishing house structure is that it enjoys an easily accessible locational advantage. It lies in the heart of the 'Spice Coast' with just 60 kms from Kochi city and 12 kms from the city of Alleppey.

Accommodation and Dining at the Resort

The resort has numerous traditionally built villas with thatched roofs, offering their own private garden to each villa. The 400-sq.ft spacious villas are all air-conditioned with twin or double beds, mini bar, coffee making facilities and delightfully furnished veranda with ceiling fan. The bathrooms are spacious and modern, built in traditional Kerala style with an open-air courtyard, complete with a banana or Papaya tree. At the specialty and buffet seafood restaurant by the name of Fort Cochin, you can treat your taste buds with a wide range of cuisines including the local Kerala cuisine. Prawns, lobsters and crayfish form the special ingredients of the recipes prepared at this dining outlet.

Ayurvedic facilities at the Resort

The resort has its own Ayurveda Centre headed by the resident Ayurveda Doctor and a team of dedicated men and women masseurs and therapists. The Ayurvedic treatment offered in form of various massages range from simple massages to special ones like Dhara, Sirovasti, Pizhichil and many more. The Resort is also well equipped with a dispensary and qualified resident staff.
